Suicide prevention Training
DTSPA work with Action to Prevent Suicide CIC to deliver training. Through this training we can enable our communities to reduce the stigma of mental ill health and suicide, moving towards wellbeing and living well. We wish to make Devon, Torbay and the Southwest of England a stigma-free zone around the issues of Mental health and Suicide.
There is a growth in death by suicide locally and nationally with over 6,000 incidents of suicide per year in the UK. It is one of the biggest causes of death among men and the biggest cause of death among young people, affecting all cultures, age and gender groups.
We offer a range of training packages, with our main training focused on suicide prevention. Our courses have been developed by Livingworks. We offer a group of skilled licensed trainers, to deliver training designed to equip people with the skills to respond and intervene to support suicide prevention.
We also offer bespoke training for groups and organisations in most subject matters.
